During the period 14-18 September, 2015, the Institute of Information and Communication Technologies (IICT), which is a partner in the SESAME Net project, organized the 113th European Study Group with Industry (ESGI’113) workshop.The aim of the workshop was to deepen the areas for cooperation between the Academia and Industry in the fields of research, innovation and education, identified in the previous editions.
Over 50 scientists from IICT, IMI (Institute for Mathematics and Informatics) and FMI-SU (Faculty of Mathematics and Informatics, Sofia University) engaged in solving six different applied problems that were presented by six SMEs (one from Germany and 5 from Bulgaria). Using HPC systems was of paramount importance for solving some of the presented problems.
